THREE YEARS.

I can't believe it's been three years already… What a journey!

Three years ago, I was joining a company I had barely heard of before applying I have to admit. Scotland’s best kept secret some used to say.

I was genuinely impressed by how nice everyone was and I could feel BJSS’s values throughout the whole recruitment process. It might have been the most efficient, pragmatic, enjoyable, and fastest recruitment process I have ever gone through, which is always appreciated.

I believe I professionally grew up quite a lot during those three years. I had the opportunity to work with a plethora of talented people, for various industries on different projects, with cutting-edge technology (and also legacy technology, I am not gonna lie). It’s been a blast!

It was also the first time I sought after more responsibilities when I became the software engineering capability lead for Edinburgh and Aberdeen at the end of 2022. I am quite pleased to say our small team over doubled in size since I started, and it keeps on growing!

Today also happens to be my personal anniversary on this planet with 30 revolutions done around the Sun. So I can officially say that I worked for BJSS for exactly 10% of my life so far. Simply the longest I have ever worked for a company!
